| LA ESTRELLA DEL REY DE LOS JUDÍOS. (MATEO 2:1-12) |
-Mateo 2.1 "Cuando Jesús nació en Belén de Judea en días del rey Herodes, vinieron del oriente a Jerusalén unos magos." Magos: Estos magos eran personajes importantes del oriente: Referencia bíblica: De las regiones donde estuvieron los imperios de Babilonia, Media, Persia, etc. y los reinados de Nabucodonosor, Belsasar, Darío, Ciro, etc. (léase: Daniel caps. 1 al 6; Nehemías cap. 1.1 y 2.1;Esdras 1.1; Ester 1.1 ,etc.) entre los años 607 - 534 a.C. Estos magos eran dedicados a la astrología, que confrontando con cualquier diccionario natural significa: Ciencia de los astros, conocimiento y estudio de la influencia de los astros en el destino de los hombres; pronosticar por el aspecto de los astros, los sucesos de la tierra. Eran dedicados además a la adivinación y a la interpretación de sueños (referencia: Daniel 1.20; 2.2; 4.7). -Mateo 2.2 "diciendo: ¿Dónde está el rey de los judíos, que ha nacido? Porque su estrella hemos visto en el oriente y venimos a adorarle." rey: La Antigua Versión o Revisión 1909 (Reina-Valera 1909) dice Rey (con mayúscula) lo cual es más aceptable por cuanto ellos venían a adorarle como a su Dios por medio del Espíritu de Dios que ya moraba en ellos. Estos magos se convirtieron a Cristo como consecuencia del ministerio del profeta Daniel, en Babilonia, que tuvo tan grande trascendencia que alcanzó hasta los tiempos de la venida de Jesucristo, de tal manera que muchos gentiles de esas regiones del oriente se convirtieron, tanto en los días de Daniel, como el mismo Nabucodonosor ,como hasta los días de esos magos, todos los que estaban ordenados para salvación. Así que éstos habían sido practicantes de la astrología pero ahora eran ex-magos ya convertidos al Señor. Estas conversiones obedecen al cumplimiento de las Escrituras de las profecías de Moisés, Oseas, e Isaías: -Romanos 9.25-26 "Como también en Oseas dice: Llamaré pueblo mío al que no era mi pueblo, y a la no amada, amada. Y en el lugar donde se les dijo: “Vosotros no sois pueblo mío, allí serán llamados hijos del Dios viviente” Explicación: -Romanos 9.25 "Como también en Oseas dice: Llamaré pueblo mío(Rom.9:8.los que son hijos según la promesa son contados como descendientes 23 y para hacer notorias las riquezas de su gloria, las mostró para con los vasos de misericordia que él preparó de antemano para gloria, 24 a los cuales también ha llamado, esto es, a nosotros, no sólo de los judíos, sino también de los gentiles? ) al que no era mi pueblo (los que eran hijos según la carne pero no eran hijos de Dios, por cuanto no se habían convertido) , y a la no amada(Rom.9:8. los que eran hijos según la carne pero no eran hijos de Dios, por cuanto no se habían convertido Dios no los amaba como humanos, pero como Remanente si Prov. 15.9 Abominación es a Jehová el camino del impío;) amada(A la conversión a Dios se confirmó que Dios los ama como el Remanente Rom.9:8.los que son hijos según la promesa son contados como descendientes . Sal 146Jehová ama a los justos. Prov. 15.9 Mas él ama al que sigue justicia. ) 26. Y en el lugar donde se les dijo: “Vosotros no sois pueblo mío(Rom.9:8.los que son hijos según la carne no son los hijos de Dios. El remanente no convertido a Dios), allí serán llamados hijos del Dios viviente(Rom.9:8.los que son hijos según la promesa son contados como descendientes. El remanente convertido a Dios) 23 y para hacer notorias las riquezas de su gloria, las mostró para con los vasos de misericordia que él preparó de antemano para gloria, 24 a los cuales también ha llamado, esto es, a nosotros, no sólo de los judíos, sino también de los gentiles? 1ª Pedro 3.18 Porque también Cristo padeció una sola vez por los pecados, el justo por los injustos, para llevarnos a Dios, siendo a la verdad muerto en la carne, pero vivificado en espíritu; Por el contrario: Destinados para condenación tanto judíos como gentiles 22 ¿Y qué, si Dios, queriendo mostrar su ira y hacer notorio su poder, soportó con mucha paciencia los vasos de ira preparados para destrucción, 27 También Isaías clama tocante a Israel: Si fuere el número de los hijos de Israel como la arena del mar, tan sólo el remanente será salvo; NOTA: Todos los destinados para condenación tanto israelitas como gentiles no han sido ni serán amados por Dios eternamente; pero para sus escogidos como hijos de Dios hemos sido amados eternamente. ” (Os. 1. 6-7 ,1 O ; 2 .1 , 23 ). 10.19 "También digo: ¿No ha conocido esto Israel? Primeramente Moisés dice: Yo os provocaré a celos con un pueblo que no es pueblo; con pueblo insensato os provocaré a ira." (Dt.32.21). 10.20-21 "E Isaías dice resueltamente: Fui hallado de los que no me buscaban; me manifesté a los que no preguntaban por mí. Pero acerca de Israel dice: Todo el día extendí mis manos a un pueblo rebelde y contradictor." (Is. 65.1-2). Meditemos brevemente como un bosquejo en algunos de los hechos poderosos y trascendentales del ministerio de Daniel: Daniel y sus compañeros (Misael o Mesac, Ananías o Sadrac, Azarías o Abednego) proponen en sus corazones no contaminarse con la porción de la comida del rey, ni con el vino que él bebía (Daniel cap.1.5-14). Grande victoria y exaltación de Jehová para ellos (Daniel 1.15-21); Daniel libra de muerte a los sabios de Babilonia (Daniel 2.14-18,24); Daniel recibe de Jehová la interpretación del sueño a Nabucodonosor (Daniel 2.19-23, 27- 45); exaltación para Daniel y sus tres compañeros (Daniel 2.47-49); Sadrac, Mesac y Abednego librados por Jehová del horno de fuego y su exaltación (Daniel 3.8-30); la humillación para Nabucodonosor y su conversión (Daniel 4.1-37); juicio sobre Belsasar (Daniel 5.1-31); Daniel en el foso de los leones y su exaltación (Daniel 6.1-28); luego del capítulo 7 al 12 la Escritura revela las poderosas visiones y profecías que Daniel recibió acerca de los días venideros. Con todos estos hechos gloriosos se convirtieron muchos gentiles de esas regiones del oriente, como ya dijimos, todos los ordenados para vida eterna desde Nabucodonosor y muchos otros en los días de Daniel y aun varios siglos después seguían siendo alcanzados, como estos magos en tiempos del nacimiento de Jesús. Estos magos a pesar de que habían sido astrólogos en esta ocasión vieron no un astro del universo, sino que vieron un resplandor celestial y poderoso y ellos, en el Espíritu le llamaron "su estrella hemos visto", la estrella o la luz, o resplandor (como una visión) de su Rey y Dios en quien habían creído y a quien adorarían; de hecho todas las estrellas son de Cristo por cuanto él las hizo y son para él (Colosenses 1.15-16), pero en esta ocasión se trataba de una estrella única y esta fue de una gloria celestial y no de una gloria natural (1 Corintios 15.41), fue el resplandor de la gloria del Mesías, el Rey de los judíos en forma de estrella que los guió hasta Belén. Aquí se cumplía en parte las profecías: -Números 24.17 "Lo veré, mas no ahora; lo miraré, mas no de cerca; saldrá ESTRELLA de Jacob, y se levantará cetro de Israel, y herirá las sienes de Moab, y destruirá a todos los hijos de Set." -Isaías 60.1-3 "Levántate, resplandece; porque ha venido tu Luz, y la gloria de Jehová ha nacido sobres ti. Porque he aquí que tinieblas cubrirán la tierra, y oscuridad las naciones; mas sobre tí amanecerá Jehová, y sobre tí será vista su gloria. Y andarán las naciones a tu luz, y los reyes al resplandor de tu nacimiento." -Mateo 2.3 "Oyendo esto, el rey Herodes se turbó, y toda Jerusalén con él." Aquí se cumple en parte la profecía de Isaías 59.17-20 que dice: "Pues de justicia se vistió como de una coraza, con yelmo de salvación en su cabeza; tomó ropas de venganza por vestidura, y se cubrió de celo como de manto, como para vindicación, como para retribuir: con ira a sus enemigos, y dar el pago a sus adversarios; el pago dará a los de la costa. Y temerán desde el occidente el nombre de Jehová, y desde el nacimiento del sol su gloria; porque vendrá el enemigo como río, mas el Espíritu de Jehová levantará bandera contra él. Y vendrá el Redentor a Sion, y a los que se volvieren de la iniquidad en Jacob, dice Jehová." (Temerán o turbarán). Mateo 2.7 "Entonces Herodes, llamando en secreto a los magos, indagó de ellos diligentemente el tiempo de la aparición de la estrella." Mateo 2.16 "Entonces Herodes, cuando se vio burlado por los magos, se enojó mucho, y mandó matar a todos los niños menores de dos años que había en Belén y en todos sus alrededores, conforme al tiempo que había inquirido de los magos." Desde la primera aparición de la estrella a la llegada de los magos a Belén fueron aproximadamente dos años, lo que inquirió e investigó Herodes; pero esta no era la edad del niño Jesús en ese momento sino el tiempo que transcurrió desde la primera aparición de la estrella, luego los preparativos del viaje, el viaje mismo de los magos hasta Belén junto con los que les acompañaban y finalmente los cortos días que tenía el niño Jesús. Mateo 2.9 "Ellos, habiendo oído al rey, se fueron; y he aquí la estrella que habían visto en el oriente iba delante de ellos, hasta que llegando, se detuvo sobre donde estaba el niño." El resplandor celestial(glorioso) vuelve aparecer a los magos y los guía hacia donde estaba el niño y allí se detiene sobre la casa. -Mateo 2.10 "Y al ver la estrella, se regocijaron con muy grande gozo"¿Por qué dice que se regocijaron así? Los magos al igual que Simeón (Lucas 2.25-32) eran justos y piadosos y esperaban la consolación de Israel y el Espíritu Santo estaba sobre y dentro de ellos y movidos por el Espíritu y guiados por el resplandor de la estrella del Señor, habían llegado al Ungido del Señor y vieron sus ojos al Salvador, Luz para revelación a los gentiles de los que ellos eran parte y gloria del pueblo de Israel. Aquí también se cumplía en parte lo que Jesús dijo: Lucas 10.23-24 "Y volviéndose a los discípulos les dijo aparte: Bienaventurados los ojos que ven lo que vosotros veis; porque os digo que muchos profetas y reyes desearon ver lo que vosotros veis, y no lo vieron; y oír lo que oís, y no lo oyeron." (justos) Lucas 11.31 "La reina del sur se levantará en el juicio con los hombres de esta generación, y los condenará; porque ella vino de los fines de la tierra para oír la sabiduría de Salomón, y he aquí más que Salomón en este lugar." Lucas 11.32 "Los hombres de Nínive se levantarán en el juicio con esta generación, y la condenarán; porque a la predicación de Jonás se arrepintieron, y he aquí más que Jonás en este, lugar." Mateo 2.11 "Y al entrar en la casa, vieron al niño con su madre María, y postrándose, lo adoraron; y abriendo sus tesoros, le ofrecieron presentes: oro, incienso y mirra." Los magos se postraron y le adoraron como lo hizo el ciego de nacimiento sanado por Jesús (Juan 9.1-7) que dijo al Señor: "Creo, Señor; y le adoró" (Jn.9.38) y luego Jesús dijo (Jn.9.39): "Para juicio he venido yo a este mundo; para que los que no ven, vean, y los que ven, sean cegados". Los primeros son los que estaban muertos en delitos y pecados pero que por medio de la fe ahora son salvos, y los segundos son como los fariseos muertos en pecados pero que no lo reconocen para creer en Cristo, sino que se jactan de ser justos y salvos y de conocer la verdad.(v.Mt.13.12-15) Le ofrecieron: Oro : Significa la Deidad de Jesucristo por cuanto él es Dios (VÉASE DOCTRINA No.24 "LA DEIDAD DE JESUCRISTO(Juan 1:1)") y también significa: NUESTRO REY DIVINO " REY DE REYES Y SEÑOR DE SEÑORES" Apoc. 19:16 -Colosenses 2.9 "Porque en él habita corporalmente toda la plenitud de la Deidad," -Romanos 9.5 "de quienes son los patriarcas, y de los cuales, según la carne, vino Cristo, el cual es Dios sobre todas las cosas, bendito por los siglos. Amén." -Tito 2.13 "aguardando la esperanza bienaventurada y la manifestación gloriosa de nuestro gran Dios y Salvador Jesucristo,". El Padre mismo lo llama Dios: Hebreos 1.8 “ Mas del Hijo dice: Tu trono, oh Dios, por el siglo del siglo;” Incienso : Significa Cristo es nuestro intercesor: -Hebreos 7.25 "por lo cual puede también salvar perpetuamente a los que por él se acercan a Dios, viviendo siempre para interceder por ellos." -Romanos 8.34 "¿Quién es el que condenará? Cristo es el que murió; más aun, el que también resucitó, el que además está a la diestra de Dios, el que también intercede por nosotros." Por medio de él nuestras oraciones y alabanzas ascienden a la presencia de Dios Padre (Hebreos 13.15; Apocalipsis 8.3-4); y es también sacrificio de adoración y alabanza de su pueblo en carácter de sacerdotes (Hebreos 13.15). Mirra : Significa Cristo, ofrenda y sacrificio a Dios Padre en olor fragante que se entregó a sí mismo por su pueblo; -Cantares 1.13 "Mi amado es para mí un manojito de mirra, que reposa entre mis pechos." -Efesios 5.2 "Y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó a sí mismo por nosotros, ofrenda y sacrificio a Dios en olor fragante." Otros versos: Juan 19.39,40; Hebreos 7.27; 1O.5-7,1O,12,14,etc. Significado natural: Oro: Elemento químico metálico de color amarillo, muy dúctil y maleable y uno de los más pesados; es uno de los metales mas preciosos Incienso: preparación a base de resinas aromáticas. de origen vegetal. Mirra: sustancia o resina aromática que es obtenida de ciertos árboles resinosos. AMÉN Y AMÉN; THE STAR OF THE KING OF THE JEWS. (Matthew 2:1-12) ; -Matthew 2.1 "When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem." These Magi were converted to Christ as a result of the ministry of the prophet Daniel, in Babylon, that had so great importance that reached up to the times of the coming of Jesus Christ, in such a way that many gentiles to those regions of the Middle East became, both in the days of Daniel, as the same Nebuchadnezzar ,as the days of those magi, all those who were ordained to salvation. So they had been practitioners of astrology but now they were ex-magicians already converted to the Lord. (Deut.32.21). 10.20-21 "And Isaiah said resolutely, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not for me. But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people." (Is. 65.1-2). Let us meditate briefly as a sketch in some of the powerful and far-reaching ministry of Daniel: Daniel and his companions (Misael or Meshach, Ananias or Shadrach, Azariah or Abednego) proposed in their hearts not to defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank (Daniel cap.1.5-14). Great victory and exaltation of the Lord for them (Daniel 1.15- 21); Daniel delivers from death to the wise men of Babylon (Daniel 2.14- 18,24); Daniel receives from the Lord the interpretation of the dream to Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 2.19-23, 27-45); exaltation for Daniel and his three companions (Daniel 2.47-49); Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego delivered by the Lord of the furnace of fire and his exaltation (Daniel 3.8- 30); the humiliation for Nebuchadnezzar and his conversion (Daniel 4.1- 37); judgment on Belshazzar (Daniel 5.1-31); Daniel in the den of lions and his exaltation (Daniel 6.1-28); then in Chapter 7 to 12 the Scripture reveals the powerful visions and prophecies that Daniel received about the days to come. With all these facts glorious converted many Gentiles to those regions of the Middle East, as we already said, all ordained to eternal life from Nebuchadnezzar and many others in the days of Daniel and even several centuries after continued to be achieved, how these magicians in the times of the birth of Jesus. These wizards even though they had been astrologers on this occasion they saw not a star of the universe, but they saw a heavenly glow and powerful and they, in the spirit called "for we have seen his star", the star or light, or Glare (vision) of their King and God in whom they had believed and who worship him; in fact all the stars are of Christ as he made and are for him (COLOSSIANS 1.15-16), but on this occasion it was a star only and this was a heavenly glory and not a natural glory (1 Corinthians 15.41), was the radiance of the glory of the Messiah, the King of the Jews in the form Of stars that guided them to Bethlehem. Here was fulfilled in part the prophecies: - Numbers 24.17 "I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Seth." -Isaiah 60.1-3 "Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen envelopes you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you and His glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of your rising." -Matthew 2.3 "When Herod the king heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him." Here is part of the prophecy of Isaiah 59.17-20 which says: "Because of justice was dressed as a shell, with helmet of salvation on his head; he took clothes of revenge for garment, and was covered with zeal as a mantle, as vindication, how to reward: with wrath to his enemies, and give the payment to his adversaries; payment shall give to the coast. And they shall fear the name of Jehovah from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; because the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. And a Redeemer will come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord." (Fear or disturbed). Matthew 2.7 "Then Herod secretly called the wise men, inquired of them diligently the time of appearance of the star." Matthew 2.16 "Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children two years old and under that were in Bethlehem, and in all, according to the time which he had inquired of the wise men." From the first appearance of the star to the arrival of the Magi to Bethlehem were approximately two years, which inquired and investigated Herod; but this was not the age of the child Jesus at that time but the time that has elapsed since the first appearance of the star, then the preparations for the journey, the journey of the Magi to Bethlehem along with those who accompanied them, and finally the short days that was the Child Jesus. Matthew 2.9 "When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was." The heavenly glow (Glorious) appear to the wizards and guides them toward the place where the child was and there are stops on the house. -Matthew 2.10 "When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy" Why said that they rejoiced as well? The magicians like Simeon (Luke 2.25-32) were righteous and pious and waited for the consolation of Israel and the Holy Spirit was upon and within them, and moved by the Spirit and guided by the glow of the stars of the Lord, had arrived in the anointed of the Lord and saw their eyes to the Savior, a light for revelation to the Gentiles that they were part and glory of the people of Israel. Here also met in part what Jesus said: Luke 10.23-24 "and turning to the disciples and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see; for I say unto you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them." (Righteous) Luke 11.31 "The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here." Luke 11.32 "The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas in this place." Matthew 2.11 "And when they were come into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him; and opening their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh." The wise men fell down and worshipped him as did the blind man of birth healed by Jesus (John 9.1-7) who said to the Lord: "I believe, O Lord; and worshipped him" (Jn.9.38), and then Jesus said (Jn.9.39): "For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see, see, and those who see, be blinded." The first are those who were dead in trespasses and sins, but that through faith now are saved, and the seconds are like the Pharisees were dead in sins but that do not recognize him to believe in Christ, but who boast of being righteous and saved and know the truth.(v.Mt 13.12-15) Offered: Gold : means the deity of Jesus Christ because He is God (see doctrine No.24 "THE DEITY OF JESUS CHRIST (John 1:1)") and also means: our divine king " KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." Revelation 18:10). 19:16 -Colossians 2.9 "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead," -Romans 9.5 "who are the patriarchs, and of which, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen." -Titus 2.13 "Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ".
